The Latino Christian National Network (LCNN) is a broad coalition of Latino Christian leaders in the U.S., including Evangelical, Pentecostal, Historic Protestant, and Catholic leaders. The network comes together for prayer, dialogue, professional development, common action on social and political issues impacting our churches and communities – issues like immigration, abortion, health, climate change, racism, poverty, and others.  The network responds to these issues by creating contexts for dialogue among themselves and with public decision-makers. We provide our constituency opportunities for action, and amplify their voices through press and social media outreach. We are expanding our base, formulating new programs, strengthening the commitment of our members, deepening its impact on its combined constituency, and increasing our media effectiveness.

Foundational Goals

1. Foster respect, love, and unity among Latino/a Christians serving in national and regional leadership positions. Elevate the dialogue, postures, and positions.

2. Provide a space for respectful dialogue among Latino/a Christian leaders of different traditions and theological perspectives. Listen to the Spirit and listen to each other. We see “brown” love as a means and method of our relationship.

3. Stimulate the growth and vitality of the body of Christ by the exchange of ideas and mutual support.

4. Unite our voices and efforts in combating racism in all its expressions. As well as upholding the God given dignity of every child of God. Name power dynamics affecting our community and centering marginalized and/or impacted voices. An important question for us will always be: Who is missing?

5. Advocate together for issues affecting the Latino community at state and national levels of government. Political action rooted in faith to promote a full and abundant life. This will be also promoted in local congregations and related Latino institutions.

6.  Support, encourage, and educate Latino/a leaders’ in their civic engagement.
