Dear friends,

As we enter the month of May, I am reminded that even in seasons of uncertainty, God is always at work bringing renewal, stirring hearts, and calling His people to deeper faithfulness.

Across our network, I continue to witness leaders who are not only enduring the challenges of this moment but responding with courage, creativity, and compassion.

At LCNN, we believe that transformation does not happen in isolation, it happens in community. It happens when we pray together, learn together, and walk alongside one another with humility and purpose. It happens when we choose unity, even when it is difficult, and when we allow the love of Christ to shape how we lead and serve.

May we remain rooted in Christ as we seek to do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly with our God.

Welcoming Our New Board Members

She spent 13 years as Youth Pastor at Iglesia Bautista Victoria en Cristo, with 18 years on the pastoral team. She is the immediate past chair of the Baptist Joint Committee for Religious Liberty and continues to teach with the Christian Latina Leadership Institute.

Her work is rooted in proximity:

Rev. Eddy holds an M.Div. from Western Theological Seminary and an M.A. from Fresno Pacific University Biblical Seminary, and is pursuing a Ph.D. in New Testament studies at the University of Wales Trinity St. David.

Lament and Hope:
A Public Witness for Immigrant Communities

As our nation approaches its 250th anniversary, LCNN invites pastors, leaders, and communities to gather for “Lament and Hope”—a time of worship, reflection, and public witness affirming the presence and contributions of immigrants in the story of our nation.

This gathering will create space both to lament the pain and challenges experienced by immigrant communities and to proclaim hope rooted in faith, unity, and justice.

Marzo Madness! Destino Twin Cities Fundraises for LCNN

We are deeply grateful to Destino Twin Cities and their leader James Medina for their creativity and generosity in supporting the Latino Christian National Network.

This past March, Destino Twin Cities organized a “Marzo Madness” fundraiser—a March Madness-style bracket competition where participants raised funds for LCNN while competing for prizes. The campaign beautifully combined the energy of the season with a call to community and mission.

Hispanic Scholars Program Seeks Executive Director

The Hispanic Scholars Program (HSP) is now accepting applications for its next Executive Director. This is a full-time, remote position with regular travel required for programs, board meetings, conferences, and partner engagement.

Founded in 1989, HSP is a national nonprofit that supports theological leaders committed to serving the Latine community—particularly undergraduate and graduate students in theological and religious studies.

The Executive Director serves as HSP’s chief executive, providing visionary leadership to advance the organization’s mission, strategy, and programs. The ideal candidate is a seasoned leader in theological education with a deep understanding of nonprofit work, a strong connection to Latine communities, and a proven ability to inspire and mobilize staff, students, faculty, donors, and community partners.
